Marylebone Library, Marylebone Campus, University of Westminster
Rock Townsend have completed a Summer Works project to further develop the library at the Marylebone Campus delivering new balcony spaces and a series of new individual and group study areas, complete with specialist furniture, alongside interventions to improve natural light and environmental performance.
Following the earlier refurbishment of the first floor library as part of the wider Marylebone Campus redevelopment, the team have worked with the University to re-invigorate the Library at second and third floors.
Offices, work spaces and shelving have been re-organised to provide a greater number of fresh, new workspaces for groups, individual and silent working, accompanied by state of the art ICT facilities, providing an advanced learning environment.
All finishes have been updated along with introduction of state of the art lighting and contemporary glazing.
Works have been carefully co-ordinated with the contractor and client to minimise disruption and ensure programme is met.
