CN Awards 2025 - Carbon Reduction Champion - shortlisted

Delighted to announce Marchwood Port has been shortlisted for the Construction News awards ‘Carbon reduction Champion’ category. Awaiting the result tomorrow! 

Rock Townsend has been supporting Ryebridge Construction in their redevelopment of the 85-Hectare site near Southampton, to enhance commercial capacity while supporting ongoing operations.

 307 metric tonnes of potential CO2 emissions were eliminated through Ryebridge’s unprecedented decision to transport the 13,000 tonnes of material needed for the project by boat rather than lorry. Part of Ryebridge and RT’s longer-term goal of achieving Net Zero and embedding sustainability initiatives throughout projects.
