Symonds Green

Stevenage

Rock Townsend were appointed by the Council to undertake a capacity study and scoping exercise to look at the potential of this underused brownfield site in Stevenage.

The resulting proposal is for 29 new one, two and three bedroom apartments for affordable rent, alongside landscaping, parking and cycle storage, to meet current community needs.  The new homes are designed to exceed current standards and to respond to residents aspirations, as well as meeting needs.  The aim is to introduce a new invigorated architecture that improves the sense of place within the neighbourhood. The development is part of a wider Council led strategy for new market led and affordable housing within the borough.

Plenty of natural light, a focus on soft landscaping and planting and improved access to the local park will make the development into a pleasant community asset for both residents and the wider neighbourhood.
