Marston Vale

This Information and Visitor Centre in the Bedfordshire brick fields interprets the history of brick manufacture and was funded by the Millennium Commission. The Visitor Centre has a restaurant and exhibition space and incorporates the trust offices of Marston Vale, including a crèche for local residents.

The park itself contains a network of cycle ways and footpaths. The centre has been designed to sit gently in the landscape and, with deference to the brickmaking tradition of Marston Vale, uses brick as a primary material.

Marston Vale was awarded RIBA Bedfordshire Community Design Award.
